Jon, a former British soldier who now lives and works in Texas, has studied and researched the Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) for a number of years. Last year, 80 years after the last know thylacine died in Hobart zoo, he launched one of the largest private expeditions to find photographic evidence of its continued existence. His research has so far clocked up over 3000 camera nights in the remote outback of the mountainous island of Tasmania.

Jon maintains that it is absolutely possible that a small population of thylacines can and do exist. He does not underestimate the task involved in searching for the rarest animal on earth in one of the most remote parts of the planet. He calls the animal the great survivor and that it continues to be underestimated by the establishment.

His latest findings are published on his website
